The Summer Fun Continues

The Summer Fun Continues

August 21, 2025

The events many consider the hallmark of a Vineyard summer arrive this week: Illumination, the Agricultural Fair and the Oak Bluffs fireworks. But potential bad weather due to hurricane Erin is causing some shifts: Illumination has been moved to Thursday and the fireworks are heading to Saturday night.

Apart from the big three, there is plenty more summer to enjoy. Musical Mondays continue at Featherstone’s outdoor stage under the trees.

The West Tisbury Farmers’ Market is at the Grange Hall this Saturday and Wednesday due to the fair taking place on the Agricultural Hall grounds.

The West Tisbury Library continues its summer improv acting class with instructor Heidi Drew on Tuesday, and join Island Alpaca Co. for their annual Shearing Day Celebration on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Chilmark Free Public Library hosts its last patio concert of the summer with two Island musicians, Jeremy Berlin and Johnny Hoy on Wednesday.
