Good things seem to come in twos in the Week Ahead, particularly when it comes to strawberry festivals and farm tours:  Eat your fill of berries in every iteration at both, or either, of the events on Saturday and then on Monday explore farming up-Island and down at the Grey Barn in Chilmark and also at the FARM Institute in Edgartown.  Otherwise its business as usual which mean a busy and fun week of assorted events for every inclination.  Besides the events that are listed below, check out the 4th Annual Jazz Night: 2017 at Featherstone Center for the Arts, Vineyard Gardens’ Free Summer Seminars  (this week exploring the full-flowered world of hydrangeas), Sunset Kayak Tours hosted by Felix Neck Sanctuary and so much more.  Enjoy the Week Ahead!

FILMUSIC Festival – Exploring Music and Culture through Film which began yesterday at the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center continues with presents a weekend of feature films and musical performances that celebrate the convergence of music, culture, and film.

Friday through Sunday, June 23-25
Another weekend-long event Blooming Art, the annual The Martha’s Vineyard Garden Club fundraiser, celebrates summer blossoms.

Saturday, June 24
One of summer’s sweetest gifts, the strawberry, will be feted twice this weekend: Celebrate the crimson berry first at Morning Glory Farm’s Annual Strawberry Festival from 11 to 2 pm and then again at the  29th Annual Strawberry Festival at the First Congregational Church of West Tisbury from noon to 4 pm. Indulge now – the Island’s own perfect fruit won’t be here for long!

An Evening with Dwight & Nicole
Dwight & Nicole return to Martha’s Vineyard  for an intimate performance at the Katharine Cornell Theater.

Monday, June26
Start the week by making the rounds of Island farms with Farm Tour with Meadow Hayride at The FARM Institute  10-11 am.  Then head up Island to Grey Barn & Farm for an hour long full, animals and all,  Farm Tour.

Tuesday, June 27
Home Game – MV Sharks vs Suns
Come on out this Tuesday and watch the MV Sharks play ball!

Wednesday, June28
Martha’s Vineyard Concert Series Presents: Aimee Mann at the Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center.

Vineyard Ghosts Walking Tours
Lantern led treks through the streets, with ghost stories galore. Tours are weather permitting and subject to change.
