The Week Ahead opens with the Island already caught up in the excitement and fun of Christmas in Edgartown. With all the great things to do this annual event brings, it hardly seems possible that there are more options taking place all over the Island. Following you’ll find a few highlights but be sure to check in with our online calendar and enjoy the Week Ahead!

Friday and Saturday, December 11 & 12
Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol
Reviews have called it: “Astounding and charming performance… A ‘Carol’ worth singing about… the story has never been so alive and real, and, A Christmas Carol for the ages”. Two evening performances and Saturday matinee.

Saturday, December 12
Open House at Morning Glory Farm
Cookie decorating, hayrides, s’mores at the firepit and more! Trees, wreaths, Poinsettia, pantry items and home-cooked treats make this a fun afternoon for the whole family.

Saturday & Sunday, December 12 & 13
Cape Poge Sleigh Ride
Join The Trustees in a winter wonderland lighthouse tour. Keep warm under a cozy blanket while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate. New this year, “Light the Landscape”!

Monday, December 14
Holiday Gift Show
Dozens of affordable Island artist-made gifts for sale. Open daily 12-4 p.m. through December 20. All sales benefit Vineyard Artists and Featherstone.

Tuesday, December 15
Beach Walk with Ornament Making
Spend time with friends and family exploring the beaches of Long Point in search of natural craft supplies. A Trustees’ educator will assist with ornament making in the warmth of the Visitor’s Center.

Wednesday, December 16
Reflections of Peace Holiday Concert
Annual Christmas concert hosted by the OB Association at the United Methodist Church in the Campground.  Tickets at the door; limited seating.  Benefits Hospice MV.
The Yard’s “Making It” Program Presents Community Dance Class
This class welcomes all ages and abilities. The Yard’s professional teaching staff makes every(body) feel comfortable in this movement class. Class begins with a guided improvisation.
