Friday brings us the first full moon and the second full weekend of 2020, along with a flurry of Island activities for all ages. Find them all in the Complete Martha’s Vineyard Calendar, and read on for our picks:

Friday, Jan. 10 | Prowl for owls

Selling seasonal vegetables and fresh eggs, the Winter Mobile Market sets up shop at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital in Oak Bluffs today from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Customers can pay with credit/debit, cash or SNAP, which offers instant rebates for vegetable purchases.

Make & Take Blintzes, at the Oak Bluffs library from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., is a cooking class that ends with a dish you can take home.

From 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., join the Big Moon Owl Prowl at Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary in Edgartown.

Edgartown Cinemas has Like a Boss at 7 p.m. and the Black Eyed Susans play the Ritz in Oak Bluffs starting at 10 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 11 | Coffee talk

Todd Christy of Chilmark Coffee Company leads a class called All About Coffee at the FARM Institute in Edgartown from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., and provides each participant with a small bag of his acclaimed roasts to take home.

Polly Hill Arboretum in West Tisbury invites you on a Winter Arboretum Walk from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Carnegie in Edgartown introduces its new Fiber Arts Stitching Circle from 10 a.m. to noon.

At the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center in Vineyard Haven, you can catch a live-streamed performance of Wozzeck from the Metropolitan Opera starting at 12:55 p.m.

A multimedia presentation on Native Wildflowers of Martha’s Vineyard, with refreshments, begins at 3:30 p.m. at the West Tisbury Public Library.

The PA Club in Oak Bluffs hosts a Wine & Cheese Tasting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with half the proceeds to benefit beloved Island musician Sabrina Luening as she recovers from a stroke.

Sunday, Jan. 12 | Joe at Jabberwocky

The Vineyard Conservation Society leads a guided walk through Pilot Hill Farm in Tisbury starting at 10 a.m.

Congressman Joe Kennedy holds a community town hall meeting at Camp Jabberwocky in Vineyard Haven from 11 a.m. to noon.

Everyone is welcome at the weekly Lasagna Lunch (salad, garlic bread and dessert are served, too) from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Federated Church in Edgartown.

The Film Center has a special screening of the documentary Fantastic Fungi, preceded by a special mushroom meal prepared by Kyleen Keenan, starting at 6:30 p.m.

At the Ritz, brothers Sean and Griffin McMahon start their weekly Holy Rock & Roll Revival at 7:30 p.m.
