1 Pasture to Plate: Fresh Pasta, Monday, July 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at theFarm Institute in EdgartownJoin the farm chef and learn to make a vegetable antipasto and two types of handmade pasta, hand-cut pappardelle and ricotta gnocchi. With the pasta, you’ll make a seasonal vegetable medley with lemon zest, fresh herbs, parmesan and white wine and a ragu with farm-raised lamb.
2 Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Tuesday, July 30 through Saturday, August 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse in Vineyard HavenThe 2013 Tony Award winner for best play, Christopher Durang’s absurdist comedy is laugh-out-loud funny, thanks to its outstanding cast and deft production.
3. Kids take center stage at this free weekly fun-fest with filmmaking activities, circus games, a live performance and short movies. The series is part of the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival.
4. Vineyard Artisans Summer Festival, Thursdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through August 29 at Grange Hall in West TisburyShop and buy directly from more than 70 Martha’s Vineyard artists and craftspeople at this twice-a-week event (also Sundays through Sept. 8), where you’ll find fiber arts, jewelry, fine furniture, pottery, glass, oil paintings, pastels, mixed media, sculpture, wampum, quilts, clothing, sea glass windows, handmade books and more.
