Martha’s Vineyard Summer Concert Tickets Now On Sale
April 29, 2019
Planning your Martha’s Vineyard summer vacation or weekend getaway? Consider building a trip around one (or more!) of the shows in this year’s Martha’s Vineyard Concert Series. From late June to the last day of August, headliners including Richard Thompson, Son Volt, Black Violin (pictured above) and Livingston Taylor will perform at historic Island venues including the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown and Union Chapel and the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs.
The Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center, at the high school in Oak Bluffs, will host David Sedaris, Stephen Marley, Gordon Lightfoot and The Capitol Steps.
Tickets are available now, and the series producers are also promoting a Beach Road Weekend music festival August 9-11 in Vineyard Haven. No bookings or other details have been announced for the festival, but we’ve got the concert series line-up right here. Whether your taste runs to roots-rock, reggae, singer-songwriters or satire—or you just love great performances—there’s plenty to enjoy among the 14 acts.
And if you’re a fan of the Vineyard’s own mvyradio, you can support the station by attending the July 24 benefit concert by I’m With Her, a supertrio of the songwriters Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O’Donovan.
Best not to wait too long to make your choices, though: Concerts in this series tend to sell out quickly. All show times are 8 p.m. except where noted below.
