The Week Ahead: Friday, April 13 through Thursday, April 19, 2018

April 13, 2018

Temperatures are tracking upward and more and more events are heading out of doors in the Week Ahead.  Start the weekend with sheep shearing, an age old rite of spring taking place at The FARM Institute’s annual Sheepapalooza where this year’s bundle of baby lambs will also be introduced.  Heading into the new week, events, if not actually out of doors themselves, keep us busy with activities that will demand increasing hours of attention as the spring wears on: planting, fishing and just plain appreciation of the lengthening days and milder nights.  Even the little ones are invited to rediscover the out of doors during Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary’s Nursery School Naturalists programs. So look closely and discover the inroads spring is making under our very noses – crocuses in sunny corners, new shoots on brown branches, daylight lingering long after dinner – and enjoy The Week Ahead!
