fallinlovewithmvWelcome to the first week of September.  The month started with a day of much needed rain creating a let’s-kick-back atmosphere that I think we all appreciated.  Next up is a long and fun-filled Labor Day weekend followed by school reopening and a much deserved break for some Island businesses. But that doesn’t mean the Island lacks for activities!  Check out the Week Ahead and enjoy the Monday holiday!

Vineyard Ghosts Walking Tours
Lantern led treks through the haunted streets of the old Cottage City. Great ghost stories, and family fun. 6 person minimum. Tour dates subject to change.

Cottage City Through the Stereoscope: A 3D Presentation
Hal Garneau has been collecting antique stereo views of Martha’s Vineyard for over 35 years. Join him as he shares more than 100 vintage photos of Oak Bluffs.

Wednesday, September 7
Farm Visits
Visit a diverse family farm with ducks, chickens, pigs, sheep, and pygmy goats. Natural dyeing and spinning wool, foraging for flavor, and fire circles sometimes available.

Thursday, September 8
Early Birders
The early bird gets the worm (or fish)! Join Felix Neck birders for a casual walk of the Sanctuary grounds to look for summertime birds. An easy to moderate stroll.
