There’s a celebration or festivity going on in every corner of the Island this weekend. Oak Bluffs is hosting the second annual weekend of LGBTQ+ Pride on the Vineyard, with parties, a parade, and events that range from stand-up comedy to drag shows. (See more below.) Up-Island, the bell rings at the Ag Hall at 9 a.m. on Saturday when the West Tisbury Farmers’ Marketopens for the season. Out in Katama, the Car-B-Q Classic Auto Show and Power Cruise revs up at the Winnetu Oceanside Resort on Sunday. The weekend culminates with the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School graduation ceremony on Sunday, June 11 at 1:30 p.m at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs.
Unfortunately, tickets to the Martha’s Vineyard Magazine 2023 Best of the Vineyard Party happening tonight at Farm Neck Golf Club have sold out.

Hop over to the Strand Theatre in Oak Bluffs on Friday, June 9 for the Strand Jam, an unexpected early summer version of the Chilmark Potluck Jam. More than 20 local musicians will be playing from 6 to 9 p.m.
Savor the scents, tastes, sights and sounds when the annual West Tisbury Farmers’ Market returns to the Agricultural Hall in West Tisbury this week. The Saturday market starts on June 10 and the mid-week market kicks off on Wednesday, June 14, both from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Find your favorites and discover new ones.
Celebrate LGBTQ+ pride this weekend! Oak Bluffs is the epicenter for activities, starting on Friday, June 9 with a 9 p.m. kick-off party at The Ritz Cafe. The Second Annual Pride Parade gets underway Saturday, June 10 at 2 p.m, going up Circuit avenue and ending at Ocean Park.
Other events throughout the week include Drag Queen Storytime, stand-up comedy, a social guided hike at Long Point with Queer Hub MV and a discussion about queer pride and spiritual growth. The Red Cat Kitchen will host Misery and Friends for two Drag Brunch performances on Sunday, June 11.
If you’ve daydreamed about a pink Cadillac, a little red Corvette or a gold Trans Am, then the Car-B-Q Classic Auto Show and Power Cruise at the Winnetu Oceanside Resort in Katama on Sunday, June 11 is for you. Enjoy a barbecue picnic while admiring classic cars from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
