The 2021 Island Guide Offers Island’s Best

December 12, 2021

The 2021 Martha’s Vineyard Island Guide, an award-winning 120-page guide to the best the Vineyard has to offer, is now available for purchase.

Published by Martha’s Vineyard Magazine and completely updated for the 2021 season, the Island Guide offers best bets and insights into places to go and things to do on the Vineyard.

The new edition offers special tips and notes about changes or restrictions still in place due to the pandemic. With new guidance from the state, restaurants will be able to offer more indoor and outdoor seating this summer, takeout options have multiplied, and the farmers’ market will continue in its spacious new home on the Agricultural Society grounds in West Tisbury. Some larger events will not take place again this summer, but others are planning a combination of virtual and in-person events.

The Island Guide features page after page of stunning photographs from around the Island, colorful maps, and useful information about hiking trails, beaches and outdoor activities. A section called “Getting Here and Getting Around” details everything you need to know about ferries and air travel. And of course, there’s plenty of insider information on shops, galleries, museums, restaurants, inns and more.

The all-new guide includes informative sections on each of the six Island towns, profiles of six beaches and five lighthouses, an article on visiting farms and farm stands and a comprehensive listing of places to stay, eat and shop, among other features.

Designed by Jane McTeigue and edited by Susie Middleton, the Island Guide was honored with  a first-place award in the 2020 New England Better Newspaper Competition.

The Island Guide is available for purchase at vineyardgazettestore.com and at Island newsstands where Martha’s Vineyard Magazine is sold. Martha’s Vineyard Magazine is part of the Vineyard Gazette Media Group.
