The New Island Guide is For Sale Online and in Stores

Martha’s Vineyard Magazine has published the 2020 Martha’s Vineyard Island Guide, a glossy 128-page homage to the best the Island has to offer.

Mostly compiled before the coronavirus emergency, the third annual issue of the Island Guide offers best bets and insights into places to go and things to do on the Vineyard, some of which will not be available to visitors this summer. But the book also contains stunning photographs from around the Island and useful, timeless information about hiking trails, beaches and outdoor activities, as well as advice on popular shops, galleries, museums, restaurants and inns that are or will be open on some basis this season.

The guide is “a love letter to Martha’s Vineyard,” editor Susie Middleton wrote in an opening letter to readers.

“While we hope to see you this summer or fall, if your trip gets delayed, rest assured that the best things about the Vineyard will wait for you,” the letter continues.

The all-new guide includes informative sections on each of the six Island towns, profiles of six beaches and five lighthouses, an article on visiting farms and farm stands and a comprehensive listing of places to stay, eat and shop, among other features. Art director Jane McTeigue incorporated scores of striking pictures from more than a dozen Island photographers.
