Art lovers, this is your weekend – the calendar is packed with events and exhibits, including the Oak Bluffs District Art Stroll on Saturday. There are new exhibits up at The Granary, Featherstone, Old Sculpin, North Water, Galaxy Gallery and many more art galleries. And ongoing events all over the Island, including the Vineyard Artisans Summer Festival, the Chilmark Flea, and the Oak Bluffs Open Market, offer art, crafts, fashion, home goods and more. Find all the art listings – as well as many more activities for all interests – in The Complete Martha’s Vineyard Calendar.
Happy 351st Birthday, Vineyard Haven! Celebrate the town with music, food, and vendors from local businesses and artists at the
Tisbury Street Fair.
It takes place on Main street from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8.
Saturday, July 9 is the day to celebrate Oak Bluffs at the
Arts District Stroll. Galleries along Dukes County avenue and the surrounding area invite visitors to view their exhibits and meet the artists. It all begins at 4 p.m.
The
Edgartown Lighthouse is open again for tours! Wind your way up the steps to catch the views over Edgartown harbor. Tours are available every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through the end of August.
There’s a full moon on Wednesday and the Island’s conservation agencies will be celebrating it on water and land. Join Felix Neck’s monthly
Moonrise Kayak Tour through Sengekontacket Pond starting at 6:45 p.m. If you want a later start time, head over to Long Point Wildlife Refuge for the
Full Moon Kayak and Campfire. It gets underway at 7:30 p.m. Advance registration is recommended for both: these events sell out!
