Join us in Edgartown’s historic Old Whaling Church for a spectacular evening of solos and duets featuring favorites and new discoveries from Broadway and the Great American Songbook. Vocalists include coloratura soprano Lori Ullman, tenor Ray Bauwens, and pianist Susan Minor.
With vocals described as “beautiful” by the Buffalo News, coloratura soprano Lori Ullman has been continually engaged in classical vocal performance since receiving her vocal training at the New England Conservatory and at the Eastman School of Music. Ms. Ullman is the lay cantor at Western New York’s largest Reform Congregation and has sung leading roles with the Bel Canto Opera Company of Rhode Island [https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/loriullman].
Ray Bauwens has been characterized by Richard Dyer in the Boston Globe as “the closest thing to an Italian tenor New England has produced” in over fifty years, and appears as a soloist frequently throughout New England (including as tenor soloist for the Island Community Chorus’ St. Paul in 2014) [https://www.naxos.com/person/Ray_Bauwens/4436.htm].
Susan Minor is an active professional pianist in the Boston area, currently serving as Music Director for Grace Congregational UCC in Framingham and as the accompanist for the Harvard Pro Musica.[https://www.harvardpromusica.org/accompanist/].
