MV Preservation Trust Acquires Name Change & Flagship Property

Martha’s Vineyard  – A name change for the The Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust, now to be known as the Vineyard Trust, accompanied the announcement that the organization’s new flagship property, the Carnegie library on North Water Street in Edgartown, will open to the public on June 23.

Established in 1975, The Trust owns 20 historic properties around the Island, including Alley’s General Store, the Flying Horses Carousel, the Old Whaling Church, the Grange Hall and the building housing the Vineyard Gazette.
