Celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month, Rumbarroco showcases the musical connections and parallels between Spanish and Latin-American music, both past and present.
Rumbarroco is an exciting new musical venture featuring expert musicians conversant in Renaissance, Baroque, and Afro-Latin music from both Spain and Latin America.
Besides the composers Murcia, Narvaez, Ortiz, and Velazquez, the music will feature examples of Venezuelan joropo and Mexican son styles, especially in the selections La Lloroncita, Fandanguito, and the well-loved La Bamba. $20 – $40
