The Dunes Welcomes Scott Ehrlich as Executive Chef
April 10, 2017
Martha’s Vineyard – The Dunes restaurant announces the arrival of its new Executive Chef, Scott Ehrlich.
Prior, Scott was executive chef at Oak Bluffs’ Sweet Life Café Oak Bluffs, visited by President Barrack and Michelle Obama. In addition he headed the team at the popular Art Cliff Diner.
Before relocating to Martha’s Vineyard, Scott worked with Scott Bryan first at Indigo and went on to assist with the opening of the much lauded Veritas. He followed that with Mario Batali’s Roman trattoria, Lupa, and Douglas Rodriguez’s ceviche restaurant, Chicama. From there he worked with Wylie Dufresne at 71 Clinton Fresh Foods, one of the most acclaimed restaurants in New York. With 71’s success, the owners tapped Scott to open two spaces in the Lower East Side: aKa Café, a tapas restaurant, and Alias, a creative bistro. Scott’s imaginative approach to European and Pan-American influences emphasized a lighter touch, with vinaigrettes, broths, and vegetable purees. Both restaurants received consistently high reviews from the New York press and were listed in Time Out New York’s “100 Best Restaurants.”
