By all accounts the first annual Sharky's Wingfest to benefit the MV Boys and Girls Club was a huge success. At the event Saturday  November 7th, 12 noon to 3 pm, Island businesses and organizations including the Edgartown Police and Fire Departments, Edgartown Town Hall and School, the Oak Bluffs Fire Department, MV Harley Riders, Vineyard Vines and Nectar’s were at Sharky’s in Edgartown with buckets of their best sauce hoping to win your vote for the best wings on Martha’s Vineyard.

Over 230 people enjoyed all you could eat wings, the cash bar, and live music by Money Shot. Edgartown Fire Department was awarded the prize - their winning sauce will be featured for a full year on Sharky’s menu.

Tickets were $20 for advance purchase tickets  at Sharkys’ in both Edgartown and OB or $30 at the door on the day of the event for.  A $50 VIP ticket gave lucky tasters early admission at 11 am.  A Free Wingfest 2009 tee-shirt  with each admission. Proceeds from ticket sales went to support MV Boys and Girls Club.
